There are some interesting visual and mechanical features of models in the Longines Sport Legends range, as well as each timepiece paying tribute to or being inspired by historical figures and events. The Longines Lindbergh has an impressive history, as the watch was originally specially designed for the American aviator Charles Lindbergh, who flew 47,000km non-stop in his aircraft the Spirit of St.Louis. The timepiece includes a white dial with numerous markers including Roman numeral hour markers and markers on the case itself, ringing the dial. The Longines Weems pays tribute to Philip van Horn Weems, one of the pioneers of aviation, and includes attractive stylised Arabic numeral hour markers and distinctive blue hands.
