Tanzanite

Tanzanite is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular stones on the market, and is one of the latest stones discovered in a parcel of sapphires by a gemmologist from Tiffany's in America in 1967.

Mined in the Merelani Hills near Arusha in the North of Tanzania, Tanzanite glows two distinct colours of Blue and Violet. A very delicate balance which nature has produced. A fine quality gemstone that is highly collectable and sought after and was named 'Gemstone of the Year' after its discovery.

Due to Tanzanite's ever-increasing popularity, it is becoming rarer and various  sources have informed us that the mines may become extinct in as little as 10 to 15 years when the stone will become even more difficult to find.
