New Variant Omega Bullhead in Stock at Banks Lyon

A few weeks ago, we were able to bring you a review of the brand new Omega Bullhead here on our blog, and now we’re very pleased to reveal that another variant of this inimitable timepiece has come into stock at our store. As we related last time, the original Omega Bullhead watch was a vintage development from Omega that was made famous during the 1960s, and although collectors can procure these wristwatches from time to time it’s fair to say that the opportunities to do so are rare. Because of this, Omega’s decision to re-issue the Bullhead has been met with fervent enthusiasm, as it allows a whole new generation of watch enthusiasts to gain access to this prestigious chronograph.

Our newest Omega Seamaster Bullhead is just as faithful to the essence of the original as the one we have previously showcased, but the colour scheme and aesthetics of this particular watch are very different indeed. In stark contrast to the white dial of our previous Bullhead, this watch exudes power with a black ‘Sports-Chic’ dial, and a reversed ‘Clous de Paris’ guilloche pattern has been added to the central portion of the face as well. This imbues the Bullhead with a pleasingly ‘retro’ ambience, and lies well alongside the crisp white and red hues that have been used upon the indices, hands and twin sub-dials. Readability is always a primary consideration for any serious instrument of ocular horology to take into account, and the Bullhead is equipped to pass any such test with aplomb.

The strap has been carefully crafted out of a stylish black rubber, and as such the fitting of the timepiece is extremely comfortable, adhering to the wrist in a very sleek fashion. The rubber also prevents the strap from ever losing its grip, even when exposed to water, and Omega has also taken the opportunity to adorn this functional component with some vibrant crimson stitching. Not only does this lend the strap of the wristwatch an extra infusion of colour, but it also ideally echoes and complements the detailing upon the dial as well. All told, the appearance of this Bullhead is as dissimilar to the already featured model as day is from night, and because of that Omega has ensured that their new creation will suit even the most divergent of tastes.

Of course, the spirit of the very first Bullhead still remains within this timepiece. It retains the 43mm by 45mm irregular case that was so well beloved upon the pioneering Bullhead, and the angular stainless steel is almost the twin of the original. Likewise, the interior bi-directional rotating bezel is still resplendent as it encircles the slightly deeper black of the dial. However, as we dwelt upon last time, the chronograph pushers have evolved in shape, the plastic crystal has been replaced by flawless sapphire, and the manually wound caliber 930 movement has bowed out to allow a fully fledged Co-Axial movement to take centre stage. Many watchmakers strive to blend the revered elements of bygone timepieces with the innovative concepts of newer watchmaking strategies, and not all succeed in doing so. In the case of the Omega Bullhead though, there can be little doubt that this endeavour has been fully realised.

We’re very excited to now have this alternative Omega Bullhead in stock, and at Banks Lyon this excitingly sleek chronograph can be yours for 36 monthly payments of £134.89 alongside an additional 20% deposit. Only 669 of these iconic watches are going to be re-issued though, so be sure to register your interest soon, as it many well transpire that these latest incarnations become just as sought after as their forefathers. For more information about this wristwatch, or to place an enquiry about another Omega Seamaster piece within our collection of Omega watches, please call us on 01524 38 48 58 and we’ll to our utmost to assist you.
