All watches purchased from Breitling or one of its official stockists are covered by a 2-year international warranty. However, if you opt for a Breitling watch with a mechanical movement manufactured by the brand, you are covered for 5 years, provided that you get it tested by an authorised dealer every two years for water resistance. Please note that this only applies to Breitling-manufactured mechanical movements, as some pieces in the collection still use modified third-party movement.

The 5-year warranty (for Breitling manufactured movements) covers a range of manufacturing defects but does not cover theft and loss, results from mistreatment, and wear and tear from normal use, amongst other factors. You will also be pleased to know that purchasing an extension for your warranty is also an option, and registering to do so is quick, simple, and will not take up too much of your time. It is a great choice for those who want a little extra protection or peace of mind. For watches with a Breitling manufacture movement, you can extend your warranty for an additional three years. For all other watches (those that have a modified third-party movement), you can extend your warranty for an additional two years.

The Breitling Top Time collection was introduced in the mid-1960s during Beatlemania when fun, new horizons, and carefree life were central to baby boomers. The luxury watchmakers knew they wanted to appeal to the younger generation and introduce timepieces that were stylish and trendy and welcomed a new audience to the world of watches.

The collection was inspired by contemporary sports, including motorsports, with a range of elements to reflect this, such as:

Thankfully, setting the time on your watch is simple; here is what you need to do:

• Unscrew the crown anti-clockwise and wind it 40 turns.
• Gently pull out the crown to position 2. From here, you can turn it clockwise to change the date prior to the activation date.
• Pull out the crown to position 3 and turn the hands past midnight so the watch automatically changes to the correct date. From here, you can adjust the hour and minute.
• Gently push the crown back to position 1, remembering not to force it.
