This chronograph chronometer (Limited Edition #109 of 251) was built using original and authentic parts from the 1944 Mustang WWII aircraft P-51K-10; a participant in the campaign to retake the Philippine Islands. The production of this iconic plane was completed in Texas on 18 December 1944, possessing the serial number 44-12016, and it was enduringly dubbed ‘Fragile but Agile’ when under the command of Pacific war veteran Lt. Bert Lee Jr. Lee is accredited with at least two confirmed victories during the conflict, and twin Japanese flags were painted on the bodywork of his plane to commemorate this achievement. Both pilot and aircraft survived the War, and ‘Fragile but Agile’ now resides in a collection based in the place of its manufacture.

The P-51 is everything that you could expect from a Bremont watch. A modified calibre 13 ¼” BE-54AE automatic chronometer movement is encased within a form that is augmented with hardened steel and ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. The domed sapphire crystal is both anti-reflective and scratch resistant, and the classic dial is adorned with selected instances of SuperLumiNova® to offer a further touch of contemporary convenience. Although it is inspired by the element of air, the P-51 still excels within water too, as it is resistant to depths of 100 metres. Both aesthetically and functionally, the P-51 is the complete package.
