We are official stockists of Cartier Ballon Bleu watches here at Banks Lyon, which means our customers benefit from 100% authenticity and the manufacturer’s warranty. Your Cartier warranty covers a range of defects, but only if found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault. If this is the case, the watch can be repaired or replaced completely free. As standard, this warranty is 2 years for all Cartier Ballon Bleu models. However, if you register your watch with Cartier Care after purchase, you will benefit from 8 years of warranty.
There are many advantages to extending your warranty, including:
It also includes technical diagnostics and advice, should you need it. This technical diagnostic involves inspections to check precision, amplitude, and water resistance, for example, which makes sure that the watch is working optimally. The registration process is straightforward and will only take a few minutes of your time. Importantly, this registration is entirely free and does not require you to sign up for any additional services or make any payments. It is simply a way to enhance the protection of the watch you already own.
If you are struggling to register your watch or would like more information about your timepiece’s warranty, we are more than happy to help. We work closely with Cartier, and our team is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with this luxury watchmaker.
In short, yes. At Banks Lyon, we offer Cartier watches with 0% finance, which gives you the freedom to pay for your timepiece in monthly instalments. Our flexible and straightforward approach means you can spread the cost of some Cartier Ballon Bleu watches from six months all the way up to five years. Many customers prefer this option, as it means they can start wearing and enjoying their timepieces right away, even if they do not have the funds available to pay for the entire cost upfront.
Our financing options are easy to follow and use due to our finance calculator. Simply select the duration for which you wish to spread the cost, choose your deposit amount (from 10% to 50%), and discover what your monthly instalments will be.
Please note that financing a Cartier timepiece is subject to status and is only available for watches between £500 and £20,000. You must read the financing descriptions on the product page of your chosen timepiece to find out what is available.

As standard, Cartier Ballon Bleu watches come in five different case sizes:
This gives you a wide scope of options to try on and find out which one looks and feels the most comfortable on your wrist. Typically, the smaller watches (anything up to 36mm) are catered to women, and the larger (40mm and above) are designed for men. However, it is entirely up to you which size you choose, regardless of your gender. Before trying on a watch, you can get a good idea of the best size for you by measuring your wrist. If you have a wrist size of around 15cm, anything around 33mm and below is most likely the best choice. For those with wrists around 17-19cm, you should opt for something around 36-40mm. And, if your wrist is 20cm or larger, then any Ballon Bleu watch that is 42mm should suit you best.
Another aspect to consider when selecting the size of your Ballon Bleu watch is the strap. Typically, the leather options are seen to be sleeker and slimmer, so if this is the style you want, opt for one of the leather strap watches. Similarly, stainless steel and other metals have a bulkier appearance, so choose this strap if this is what you would prefer.
Cartier Ballon Bleu watches are famous for their distinctive sapphire cabochon that adorns the crown, complemented by the rounded dial side. Some wearers may be concerned that this makes setting the time on these pieces more difficult, but this is not true. Setting the time on your Ballon Bleu timepiece is simple; all you must do is:
It is essential to ensure that the crown is pushed back in properly, as this keeps the watch water-resistant. If you are having trouble setting the time, or your Ballon Bleu watch is too fast, too slow, or has stopped entirely, we are here to help. Get in touch with our Cartier experts or book your timepiece for a service here at Banks Lyon.
