Tag Heuer Ceramic Watches

Although smaller than its’ masculine counterpart, the Tag Heuer Ladies Ceramic Formula 1, it is just as beautiful in its design and its build.

The Black Ceramic Version of the Beautiful Tag Heuer Ceramics Range

With its understated structure, featuring softer curves and flowing lines, the faultlessly chosen materials and the subtlety of the almost monochrome colours, translucent white or black and silver.  The watch gains the name “Ceramic” from the incorporation of ceramic in several parts of the watch. The rotating bezel that surrounds the dial and the centre section of each link of the bracelet are made of the beautiful material. This ceramic is not the same as that which is used in pottery, but more the same as what is used in Formula 1 for parts of the car, and by NASA for the bearings in their space shuttles. The incredible material starts out as a powder and in shaped under intense pressure, and is then heated to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit and then polished to give a stunning result, as soft on the eye as well varnished wood.

Although the watch is eye-catchingly beautiful, with the translucent white or black ceramics meeting the shining stainless steel on both the case and bracelet, the icy, smooth style is completed by the rhodium plated hands and dial markers, which top this stunning watch off perfectly. In spite of this beauty, the watch also boasts several notable mechanical features, such as the rotating bezel, that although low tech, is surprisingly useful.

The first of what is sure to be many Tag Heuer ceramic watches; the elegant yet functional Ceramic Formula 1 is a welcome addition to the watch makers’ line of fantastic time pieces.
