At BaselWorld 2011, Breitling unveiled several stunning additions to its range of watches. Perhaps the most impressive of these is the Chronomat GMT.
With its striking 47mm diameter, the watch is a striking time piece, alongside the large face, the watch also features a GMT feature. This feature allows the wearer to effectively keep time for 2 different time zones, normally, the dual hour dials move in unison, however with the simple pop of the crown and then twisting it in the correct direction. This moves the hand that is on the 12 hour basis to the correct local time, whilst the hand with the home time continues on a 24 hour basis, allowing the wearer to know the time both at home and wherever they are visiting.
Perhaps the biggest draw of the watch is the large 47mm format, which has likely come about due to many Breitling customers expressing a desire for a larger version of the original Chronomat B01, not they have found it with the Chronomat GMT BO4. Combined with the new Breitling04 movement, with its 70 hour power reserve via its 47 jewels, the Breitling Chronomat GMT is an incredibly versatile watch, ideal for anybody who often travels between two time zones, be it for work, or for pleasure. The watch’s appeal is not only limited to the wearer on the move though. The beautiful design and wide range of different colours available make it a great watch for any fashion conscious watch lover.
