Limited Edition Watch from Tag Heuer

150 years ago Edouard Heuer and his sons Jules-Edouard and Charles-Auguste founded what is now Tag Heuer, one of the leading names in luxury watches. Tag Heuer watches are known for embracing innovation, and the principles of motorsport engineering. So, as can be expected, this year will be something special.

To mark their 150th Anniversary, Tag Heuer are releasing 150 Monaco V4 Limited Edition. Based on the concept behind the V4 watch, each Monaco V4 is hand-assembled by Tag Heuer watch master Denis Badin.

The exclusive Monaco V4 Limited Edition

This watch is something special in itself: with a belt-driven transmission replacing the traditional pinion and wheel mechanical movement; a linear mass instead of the normal oscillating mass, and a beveled and arched sapphire crystal face, platinum casing and an alligator strap with a titanium insert.

Another celebration of 150 years of the Swiss watchmaker takes place in the form of a charity auction for Green Cross. Bonhams will auction a unique red Silverstone Caliber 11 Chronograph watch, featuring Jack Heuer’s signature engraved on the dial. The Silverstone is another of the most highly prized in the Heuer collection; second only to the Monaco V4.

It would seem that this year is a good one for anniversaries, and it looks like Tag Heuer watches will make extra special gifts this year—even if you can’t manage to get your hands on one of the Monaco V4 Limited Edition.
