The Breitling Aerospace is a timepiece that has slowly evolved over the course of its history, and has remained one of the most popular watches that the brand has released to date.

Since its launch in 1985 there have been numerous subtle updates to the model’s design and functions, and though it was originally made under the name of Navitmer like all pilot’s watches that Breitling released during the early to mid-eighties, it has since carved out a name for itself in the world of horology.
The most recent incarnation of the Breitling Aerospace is the limited 18k red gold edition released in 2009, which was one of two timepieces that Breitling showcased at Baselworld that year that incorporated the new thermoline quartz movement, the SuperQuartz. This movement is one of the most accurate Breitling have ever produced, and has proven very popular among timepiece enthusiasts.
The plentiful functions of the watch remain the same, including an analogue and digital LCD 12 and 24 hour display, 1/100th of a second chronograph, countdown timer, a second timezone function, alarm, audible time indication function (minute repeater), and a digital leap year calendar with day and date display in 4 languages. There is also a backlight function that remains on for 5 seconds at a time, and the timepiece has a water resistance of 100m.
The popularity of the Breitling Aerospace lies in its sharp design and dazzling array of functions, and happily neither has diminished with time but instead continue to pave the way for the partnership between style and practicality.
