Top Watches Expected To Release In 2020

Now that 2020 is here, we are looking forward to the upcoming releases we expect to see from major watch brands. From TAG Heuer to Omega, and many others in between, this year’s timepieces are already highly anticipated so, if you’re looking for a watch to add to your collection, take a look below at what’s to come.

And, because Baselworld 2019 offered a treasure trove of watches that delighted horology enthusiasts around the world, we’re also looking back at what last year brought.

Baselworld 2019 Highlights

2019 was another fantastic year for watches, with many luxury timepieces announced during Baselworld. You can find many of those pieces at Banks Lyon, such as the following:

Hublot Ferrari Watches

Last year, at Baselworld, Hublot celebrated its partnership with Ferrari with a bold model inspired by the ‘Gran Turismo’ world. Part of the Hublot Classic Fusion watches, the Ferrari GT pieces are bold, innovative and feature a new UNICO manufacture movement, which is housed in a case that resembles a sleek car body.

2019 was also the 90th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari (founded in 1929), so the Ferrari GT timepieces commemorate its rich history and the materials used in racing cars over time. The watches are available in many different materials, including carbon fibre, king gold and titanium.

However, the Classic Fusion collection isn’t the only one that pays homage to Hublot’s partnership to Ferrari. As part of the Hublot Big Bang watches, the brand released a model limited to 90 pieces worldwide and available for order for £28,700 at Banks Lyon.

The stunning Hublot Scuderia Ferrari 90th Anniversary 3D Carbon watch (image) comes with a 45mm carbon fibre case that houses a UNICO movement that offers 72-hour power reserve. The bezel is ceramic carbon, the same material used for high-performance Formula 1 brake discs. The prancing horse at 6 o’clock, the dashes of red Ferrari colour and its sporty and sophisticated aesthetics make this model a great addition to your collection.

Bremont Martin-Baker Anniversary Watch

Another highlight from Baselworld 2019 is the fantastic Bremont Martin-Baker collection. Bremont and Martin-Baker partnered to design and craft the ultimate aviation watch which embodies the theme of ‘Made in Britain’. The models in the range offer the best of engineering and blends Bremont’s considerable watchmaking skills with Martin-Baker’s knowledge of testing, materials and manufacturing.

All watches in the collection are capable of withstanding harsh environments, including the forces and damage caused when a pilot ejects from the plane. This modern range is, at the same time, timeless, as well as stylish and sophisticated. To celebrate a decade since the launch of the Martin-Baker collection, Bremont released the MBIII line, which includes the gorgeous Bremont MBIII Bracelet 10th Anniversary Watch.

Available for £4,795 or from £79.92 at 0% finance at Banks Lyon, this white-dialled watch is limited to only 310 pieces. It comes with a 43mm stainless-steel bracelet and a self-winding automatic C.O.S.C.-certified chronometer. In addition, it features a water resistance of up to 100 metres.

Omega Seamaster Diver 300m “007 Edition” Watch

James Bond fans will love the new 2020 addition to the Omega Seamaster watches. In his new film, No Time to Die, 007 will charm viewers with a special version of the Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Chronometer, a 42mm model in strong, yet lightweight, Grade 2 Titanium with a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial.

This Omega Seamaster Diver 300m “007 Edition” watch, which you can find available for pre-order at Banks Lyon, is identical to Daniel Craig’s watch in No Time to Die. The caseback is engraved with a series of numbers that follow the exact format for genuine military-issue watches, including the number 62, the year when the first James Bond movie, Dr No, was released.

Slimmer than the standard Diver 300m pieces, this Omega watch has a Grade 2 Titanium mesh bracelet with adjustable buckle and is powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806. This movement is not only precise and powerful but also has a great degree of magnetic resistance.

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300m “007 Edition” watch can be yours for £7,390 or from £123.17 per month on 0% finance. It’s now available for pre-order.

TAG Heuer Carrera

Not much is known about TAG Heuer’s upcoming release, apart from the fact that the brand will be launching a new addition to the Carrera collection in spring 2020. Set to be announced at Baselworld 2020, we can only speculate what the design and price will be – for example, considering the rest of the Carrera range, we can expect some of the details to include a glossy black dial; some pieces in the collection feature a skeleton dial, which would also be an interesting addition.

The watches have a classic, yet contemporary, sporty aesthetic to them, and are inspired by the Motor Racing universe, so they attract a large number of admirers around the world. We stock many TAG Heuer Carrera watches at Banks Lyon, so you have plenty to choose from if you’re interested in this fantastic collection.

For instance, you may like the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 watch, which is available for purchase for £4,395 or from £73.25 per month on 0% finance.

This is the first watch to feature the new Heuer-01 Calibre and comes with a black skeleton dial, a 45mm stainless-steel watch case and a rubber bracelet.
