Regular readers of our blog will already have heard a few wonderful details about the new look of our Lancaster store, however now that the doors are officially back open and we have spent the week celebrating, we thought we’d share some details and snaps. In the picture above you can see the comparison of new vs. old for the front of the store – and we’re equally excited about how the interior has been transformed.
One of the most exciting developments has been the introduction of a boutique format, which highlights select brands from the wide range that we stock here, with each section featuring unique décor specifically chosen to match the personality of the brand and the style of the watches that they produce.
For our visitors, this translates into a unique opportunity to get the feel of each brand; once you step inside the Banks Lyon store you are no longer on a rainy Lancaster high street – you are transported inside the world of the specialist watchmakers that you admire the most.
These specialist boutique sections of the store cover a wide variety of different brands, including TAG Heuer, Omega, Breitling, and Cartier. In each area of the store we have selected some of the most stunning pieces for display, and the new diversity of our approach means that people can instantly locate the watches which hold the most personal appeal, whether that means the cutting edge of contemporary design or something with a classic, traditional aesthetic.
In designing the new look of our store we thought that it was essential for the surroundings to capture the luxury of the watches themselves, and this led to the creation of a relaxing yet refined interior which we hope lives up to the impressive watchmakers that we are so proud to stock.
Everybody who joins us in the Banks Lyon store is a guest as well as a customer, and we certainly hope that this new interior helps to make you feel at home!
It was also exciting to have the launch of our new store coincide with the opening of the new James Bond movie ‘Spectre’, and as we rolled out the red carpet for our first night of celebrations on Tuesday it was impossible not to think of the spy’s glamorous lifestyle – especially with the presence of representatives from Omega, the company behind the James Bond Spectre Watch.
The events themselves were a huge success, with champagne and canapés enjoyed by everybody and the opportunity to share some exclusive items of jewellery with some of our friends from the Lancaster area.
