pandora jewellery
Pandora, the first woman in Greek mythology, described as the
"beautiful evil" and created by the Greek God Hefaistos. Famous for "Pandora's
box", the box which, when opened, released all the evils of the world, leaving
behind the virtues of hope and opportunity, the inspiration behind the Pandora
Jewellery collections.
Pandora Jewellery was established in 1982 by P.Enevddsen and his dear
wife in the modest surroundings of Copenhagen in Denmark. The pair travelled
Thailand searching for Jewellery to import back to Europe. It wasn't until 1987,
when the designer Lone Frandsen was employed, that Pandora started creating its
unique jewellery collection. Almost 10 years down the line in 1996, Lisbeth
Larden started to play a key role in establishing Pandora's exclusive style.
Then, in 1999, when the Pandora charm bracelet arrived on the market, consumers
embraced the concept, and demands for Pandora jewellery soared.
Pandora is now recognised as a Global brand, and is on sale in 18
different countries worldwide. Going from a 2 man business, to a 35 strong head
office and over 1000 workers employed internationally in less than 30 years is
an astounding achievement for Pandora to be proud of.
