The New Bremont Supermarine S2000 Collection

Bremont News & Releases

As a titan in the horological world, Bremont stand out from other luxury watch brands for their commitment to producing timepieces that are robust, stylish and exceed expectations when it comes to performance. A relatively new watch brand, the British company was formed in 2002 by Nick and Giles English and, since then, has crafted beautiful pilot’s watches world-renowned for their quality.

Every timepiece manufactured by Bremont undergoes rigorous testing that ensures this quality remains high and consistent. COSC-certified and tested for even the most demanding of environments, each piece is reliable, precise and durable – including the watches in the stunning Supermarine collection.

The Bremont Supermarine

Bremont Supermarine divers watches are inspired by aviation, with the collection’s name derived from the 1930s aircraft company ‘Supermarine’. Its design influence includes elements of aircraft and sea vessels. This range comes with the Bremont Trip-Tick® case construction and beautiful chronometer-tested movement, as well as different case sizes suitable to fulfil any professional diving requirements.

Timing is everything for a diver, and Bremont has been creating timepieces that meet the requirements of divers around the world. The watches are tested from 300m all the way down to 2000m, and are worn by professionals such as the Royal Navy Clearance Divers and sailors in the America’s Cup.

The materials used in the Supermarine collection are also of the utmost importance, as they determine the models’ reliability, performance and precision. The Supermarine uses hardened stainless-steel cases, scratch-resistant sapphire crystals, anti-shock movements and Super-LumiNova®-coated dials and bezels for visibility.

Bremont also include an automatic helium escape valve to protect the watch from gas build-up during ascent in the water. ‘Tested Beyond Endurance’, which is Bremont’s motto, clearly showcases just how important durability and reliability are to the luxury brand.

After all, these divers watches need to not only withstand harsh environments but also thrive in them.

Bremont Supermarine S2000

The technical S2000 watches are the new addition to the Bremont Supermarine collection. These sturdy pieces come with a larger case at 45mm, perfect for diving. The watches are ideal for impressive depths of up to 2000m, which makes the pieces in this line the deepest diving watches in the whole Supermarine range.

The unidirectional rotating bezel has a 20-minute red marker which ties in the red tip in the minute hand. The knurled effect on the dial’s centre, together with the clean and crisp linear markings on the bezel and inner dial ring, offer a modern, yet, classic and timeless aesthetic.

The stainless-steel bracelets in the line is a brand-new, unique design exclusive to the S2000/BR – this bracelet provides a divers’ extension and a micro-adjustable clasp to give the user complete adjustability to wear comfortably.

Whether you’re a commercial diver or someone who takes diving very seriously as a hobby, this watch is the perfect choice. The colour options, in red and yellow, are a fantastic design touch, especially when considering they’re an upgrade from the original Supermarine’s more severe hues. They’re also great for underwater visibility.

The movement of the Supermarine S2000 is a BE-36AE automatic chronometer with 38-hour power reserve. The Trip-Tick® case construction features anti-shock capabilities and a Faraday Cage, further adding to the reliability of the piece.

Ross Edgley – Brand Ambassador

Bremont and British swimming champion Ross Edgley have partnered to test the new Supermarine design and ensure it exceeds even the most demanding of expectations. Ross is also an adventurer and an author and, in 2018, he made the news by becoming the first person to swim all the way around Great Britain. He swam 2,000 miles in 157 days, a feat that became known as the “World Swim of the Year 2018” and officially recognised as “The World’s Longest Staged Sea Swim”.

Ross believes that ‘Britain has an incredible history and heritage of great explorers, from Sir Francis Drake and Captain James Cook to the modern living legend Sir Ranulph Fiennes.’ One of his favourite stories is of Captain Matthew Webb, who was the first recorded person to swim the English Channel on 25 August 1875.

He goes on to say that he’s ‘incredibly proud to partner with Bremont, as they embrace the exact same ethos of being fearlessly progressive in their own field of watch manufacturing and horology, as you can quite literally see the passion engrained into every timepiece.’

Ross wears the Bremont Supermarine S2000 Yellow watch with a rubber bracelet, which has a robust feel with its larger 45mm case. Just like the other Supermarine S2000 models, this piece also comes with a unidirectional rotating bezel with 20-minute red marker, ideal for professional divers.
