There are plenty of celebrities who are well known for their expensive tastes when it comes to fashion. However, it’s arguable that few can match Victoria Beckham in terms of excess, particularly after it was recently reported in the press that she commissioned a top designer to make her a very special pair of shoes...
What sets these shoes apart from the typical mind bogglingly expensive celebrity designer fashion accessory is that Victoria Beckham had them specially made so they perfectly complimented her new designer Rolex. Mrs. Beckham was so taken aback by the golden colour of her new wristwatch that she immediately called famous designer Brian Atwood to see if he’d be able to make her a pair of shoes to match. Naturally he obliged. There have been no reports on the cost of these one off shoes, although we’re led believe that they may have been quite expensive.
This isn’t that surprising considering Victoria Beckham is renowned for her incredibly lavish taste when it comes to designer clothes, however this is the first time we’ve heard of someone having a pair of shoes specially made to match their watch.
Unfortunately the majority of people aren’t in a position to follow Mrs. Beckham’s example and have shoes made to compliment their Rolex watches. Although for most people owning a Rolex watch is a luxury in itself regardless of whether or not you have an appropriate pair of shoes to match. However, for those of you who just can’t help themselves from following in Victoria’s fashionable footsteps you’ll be pleased to know that gold coloured footwear is allegedly very ‘in’ this season, so you won’t have much of a struggle picking up a pair of gold high heels from a high street store for under £20. Maybe Victoria could have saved herself some cash by shopping on the high street.
