The High Profile TAG Heuer Formula 1

In the mid 1980’s, when Heuer, the long established Swiss watchmaker was acquired by TAG, who were at the time best known for producing intricate technologies, such as the turbochargers for formula 1 cars. One of the very first models that was released after the conglomeration was the original TAG Heuer Formula 1.

The Elegant TAG Heuer Formula 1

Originally the Formula 1 was designed to combat the influx of cheap, unimaginative Japanese quartz watches that were flooding the marketplace.  The Formula 1 set itself apart with its Swiss design and the affordable yet incredibly reliable quartz movement made it a more attractive option than many other Swiss watches. This original design has been updated throughout the years to keep with modern tastes, however the basic idea behind the TAG Heuer Formula 1 has remained the same, to provide an incredibly reliable watch that maintains the classic Swiss design features that built the TAG Heuer brand into what it is today, while offering all of that at great value to the customer.

With several newly released versions of the Formula 1 for 2011 the collection is ever widening, the new models range from the elegant ladies watch, the “Lady Steel and Ceramic”. It combines both steel and ceramic in the case to provide a beautifully elegant watch. The gentleman’s releases were no less impressive, with the newly redesigned “Calibre S” garnering a large amount of attention thanks to it’s striking design, which is similar to the Monaco Twenty Four.
