The Latest Models from the Breitling Avengers Collection

The Breitling Avenger collection is known for its four main properties; sturdiness, functionality, precision and sophistication. The series is well-loved by many for its shockproof and water-resistant cases, allowing the wearer to dive up to 3000 metres without damage.

This hardwearing series is a firm favourite, and we can understand why. It offers unparalleled safety and reliability; it is robust and is designed to perform even in the harshest environments. And what’s more, it’s easy on the eye too, with various options to match any style.

The Breitling Avenger Series

The Avenger series was created in 2001 and redesigned just a couple of years ago in 2019 to bring its impeccable features to the forefront of pilot’s watches. The Avenger series backs up the brand’s already impressive association with air and space travel that it cemented through the development of the Breitling Navitimer.

The models in the collection stand out against other Breitling series’ as a modern-day pilot watch that gives the next generation of wearers purpose and style. This was reinforced by the association with aviators that Breitling worked with on the launch of the Avenger series in 2019. Working alongside a dedicated “pioneers squad” made up of astronaut Scott Kelly, fighter jet pilot Rocío González Torres and drone pilot Luke Bannister. The squad helped showcase the contemporary nature of the series and its appeal to men and women of all ages as the models perfectly complimented each of their pursuits.

The relaunch brought three different size cases, two automations and a GMT, giving so much choice from one collection. With all that choice, it can be hard to know which model to go for, so let’s take a look at some of our favourite models in the series.

Breitling Super Avenger Chronograph 48

One of the larger models in the series, the Chronograph 48 packs a lot of punch. It’s bold and brilliant and makes a statement. Like the others in the series, this model is designed to be worn with gloves and features the rugged unidirectional bezel and special grip pattern on the crown and chronograph pushers.

On the stunning black dial, you will find the date window at 3 o’clock and three subdials providing the wearer with more information through ¼ seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours timers. The screwed-in stainless steel caseback is engraved with the Avenger logo, and the sapphire crystal has been glare-proofed on both sides to allow for clear visibility.

With a 48-hour power reserve, the Breitling Super Avenger Chronograph 48 will serve you well and can be added to your collection for just £4,900, or as little as £72.50 per month on 0% finance.

Breitling Avenger Automatic 43

We’re going back to the smaller model with this one, but we love the style and elegance it gives off. The blue calfskin leather & tang-type buckle on this Breitling Avenger give it its unique style, and we love it.

The features of this model match that of the above 43mm model, but the two styles offer something so different. With a leather strap and tang-type buckle, this model makes for a more elegant occasion and wouldn’t look out of place with a smart suit for a wedding or the office, while the stainless steel combination makes for a sportier look.

The blue leather Breitling Avenger Automatic 43 comes in at just £3,100 or as little as £46.50 per month and makes for a beautiful piece for your collection.

Breitling Avenger Automatic GMT 45 Night Mission Limited Edition

Another calfskin leather and tang type buckle, but this time it’s offered on a limited edition automatic GMT 45mm case.

This makes for the perfect Breitling watch for any collector who wants to own a more unique timepiece, one that’s limited to just 2000 pieces. The Automatic GMT 45 offers a lightweight case, yellow second hand and luminescent hands and indexes, giving visibility even at night. The 45mm case is cast from DLC-Coated titanium, and the watch has a military-style feel thanks to its green dial and green leather strap. Its Arabic numerals also nod to the services as they are replications of the stencilled numbers found on the decks of aircraft carriers.

You can become the proud owner of the limited edition Breitling Avenger Automatic GMT 45 Night Mission watch for just £4,000, or as little as £60 per month.
