An aviation icon with a distinctly modern-retro outlook, the Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 revisits the spirit of Breitling’s 1960s Twin Jet models. The Navitimer story began in 1952, when Breitling developed the watch for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, bringing together a chronograph and circular slide rule so pilots could calculate and measure time from the wrist. This new core-collection expression draws on the Navitimer Mk 5 reference 806, but presents its familiar architecture in a richly coloured new guise. The lacquered blue dial is beautifully framed by a white slide-rule scale, with three contrasting white subdials giving the chronograph its distinctive panda appearance. White luminous details support readability, while the golden Twin Jet logo recalls the emblem introduced on civilian Navitimers in 1965. The design also nods to racing drivers Jim Clark and Graham Hill, whose enthusiasm helped take the model beyond the cockpit. Beneath the 41 mm stainless-steel case lies the hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, visible through an open caseback. A colour-matched blue Santoni calfskin strap with folding clasp finishes the watch with a refined, coordinated feel.
