We had the great honour of being able to welcome Nick English, co-founder of Bremont Watches to Lancaster last week. This exciting opportunity to meet one of the men behind this fantastic brand was shared between ourselves and a select few of our customers.
Bremont: A Brief History
The infamous watch brand, Bremont was founded in 2002 by brothers, Nick and Giles English, and has become synonymous with the aviation industry. Based in Henley-on-Thames, Bremont is known for its intricate and beautifully crafted time-pieces which are built to the highest standards.
The brothers have always harboured a passion for aviation as well as for the inner workings of clocks, as their father encouraged them to work on antique clocks as boys.
The name Bremont has a wonderful story behind it, as the brothers took to the air in the late 1990’s, flying across France. Due to bad weather and an old engine, they were forced to make an emergency landing in the field of an old French farmer who generously offered them a place to stay. His generosity was not forgotten as he became immortalised through the brand. His name? Antoine Bremont.
Bremont Visit to Lancaster
We were honoured to have the opportunity to spend some time with Nick English and enjoy a meal with him and a few of our customers. We enjoyed a fantastic meal and a few glasses of Champagne before listening to an excellent presentation from Nick where he showed us the new Bremont Jaguar MK1 Watch, the 18ct White Gold Wright Flyer and new Boeing watch.
