Tissot is known for using top-of-the-range materials to create pieces that are highly functional and fashionable, as well as offering accessible excellence for everyone.

All Tissot watches combine Swiss precision with high-quality craftsmanship and traditional, yet contemporary, designs, and are suitable for both ladies and gents and for many different personal styles.

The new Seastar models fit in perfectly with the brand. They’re part of the T-Sport collection, a family of watches that showcase the brand’s rich connection to sports and its passion for delivering durable, reliable pieces to everyone.

Tissot: Innovators By Tradition

Tissot is a Swiss brand launched in 1853 in Le Locle by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son, Charles-Émile Tissot. At first, the duo focused on pocket watches, pendant watches and complication watches, and they went from manufacturing between 1,100 and 1,200 watches in the first year to the area around Le Locle to now having a presence in 160 countries.

By 1858, Tissot was selling Savonnette pocket watches to the Russian Empire and, in 1930, the watchmaker merged with OMEGA and is now part of the Swatch Group, the largest producer and distributor of watches in the world.

The brand’s connection to sports is unmistakable, as its first partnership was back in 1938 during a series of ski races in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland. But while the watches always appealed to athletes, they also drew in a different type of crowd, with public figures like Elvis Presley, Grace Kelly and the Duchess of Cambridge being partial to Tissot timepieces too.

‘Innovators by Tradition’ is the perfect motto for Tissot, especially because the company were the first to use unconventional materials like plastic, stone and wood to make watches. To this day, Tissot continues to deliver high-tech pieces with a range of functionalities that are accessible to many budgets.

The Tissot T-Sport Collection

This fantastic range shows Tissot’s commitment to the world of sports and its achievements when timekeeping for events like the NBA, the Tour de France and MotoGPTM.

Crafted to provide precision above all and hugely inspired by the performance of athletes all over the world, the Tissot T-Sport collection has everything you could ask for in a sports watch: accuracy, style and durability.

The materials used in the range are highly water-resistant, meaning you can take your Tissot from land to the deep water, and the watches allow you to track your times no matter the activity.

With a variety of sizes, colours and styles to choose from, you can rest assured that you’ll find the right piece for you, so take a look at some of the latest additions to the collection.

Tissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80

This chronograph is a great choice for anyone who dabbles in water sports, be it sailing or diving. Water-resistant up to 300 metres, the watch has a unidirectional steel bezel with aluminium ring with luminescent material that improves readability in low visibility conditions.

The bracelet is made from stainless steel, as is the 43mm case, which houses a self-winding automatic Swiss-made quartz movement.

The piece also has a screw-down crown and caseback, and the sapphire crystal adds another layer of protection to the watch, ensuring you can take it everywhere with you without fear of scratching it.

The Tissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 can be purchased from Banks Lyon for £645 or from £9.68 per month at 0% finance.

Whether you’re going to the gym, out for a swim or dive, or spending a whole day cycling, Tissot watches are a great choice.
