Everyday Elegance with Breitling Premier Heritage Watches

Breitling News & Releases

A giant of the luxury watch industry, Breitling has been manufacturing popular watches since 1884, when it was founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. The brand’s focus has always been on durability and precision, which is why Breitling watches are chronometer-certified.

The new Premier pieces further showcase the watchmaker’s passion for history and heritage, as the watches have a vintage appeal while still delivering innovation and high performance.

Breitling Watches

The Swiss brand has a long-standing relationship with aviation and the military, investing in pieces that are functional and technologically advanced. Breitling is one of the last Swiss manufacturers to remain independent and most of its movements are developed and produced in-house, a great achievement in the horology industry.

In 1915, Breitling launched one of the first wrist chronographs with a separate push-piece above the crown, so it’s clear that the brand has been innovative from the get-go. In the 40s, Breitling added a circular slide rule to the bezel of their pilot’s watches, something that later became the famous Navitimer.

The chronographs manufacturing by Breitling are often top choice for pilots and divers, as their precision and reliability are unrivalled. It’s also easy to distinguish Breitling watches, as their polished cases and large watch faces for increased readability are instantly recognisable.

In 2017, Breitling became part of CVC Capital Partners and Georges Kern became the CEO.

The Breitling Premier Collection

The first Breitling Premier watches were introduced in the 1940s with the aim of delivering everyday elegance to the wearer. This elegance continues in the newest additions to the collection, which have been redefined for the modern times but still retain the DNA of the original models.

As Goerges Kern says: “This heritage-inspired design with a stylish modern twist embodies some of Breitling’s most famous innovations, and revives Breitling’s legacy of inventing the modern chronograph. This truly is our heritage revived.”

The collection pays tribute to Breitling’s Founders Squad, three generations of men that set a new watchmaking standard with Breitling: Léon, Gaston and Willy Breitling, all of whom were responsible for several innovations and pioneering achievements.

Just like the 40s’ watches, the new Premier pieces combine elegance and functionality with precision and robustness, resulting in high-performance no matter how or where they’re used. In addition, the watches are C.O.S.C.-certified and come in a range of colours, features and dials, so that you can easily select the model that most appeals to you.

They also come with three iconic Premier complications (the Chronograph, the Duograph and the Datora), as well as rectangular chronograph pushers, bi-compax chronograph aesthetic and Arabic numerals.

At Banks Lyon, we have a lot of Breitling Premier models at your disposal, which are sure to be faithful companions for your outdoorsy adventures. Take a look.

The Chronograph

Breitling Premier B09 Chronograph 40 – Pistachio Green and Stainless Steel

This watch is definitely one of a kind. The pistachio green dial is a bold choice but doesn’t detract from the vintage feel of the model. Perfect for anyone looking for precision, this chronograph comes with a 40mm stainless steel case and is manually wound, like the 40s’ models.

Powering the watch is the Breitling Manufacturing Caliber B09, which you can glimpse through the transparent caseback. You also get water-resistance of up to 100 metres with this piece and sapphire crystal to protect the movement, ensuring it lasts for a very long time.

This Breitling Premier B09 Chronograph 40 watch can be bought at Banks Lyon for £6,200 or from £93 per month at 0% finance.

Breitling Premier B09 Chronograph 40 – 18K Red Gold and Silver

The other version of the chronograph is made from 18K red gold and has a silver dial. A more subtle approach, the model also comes in a 40mm case and has a hand-wound manual chronometer, the Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, based on the Caliber 01.

This luxurious watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres as well, and the caseback is also transparent. The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and ensures that you can take the watch anywhere you go without worrying about damaging it accidentally.

The red gold variation of the Breitling Premier B09 Chronograph 40 is available for £13,400 or from £201 per month at 0% finance.

The Duograph

Breitling Premier B15 Duograph 42 – Blue and Stainless Steel

This duograph comes with an elaborate rattrapante that allows the wearer to measure two elapsed times simultaneously because of its two chronograph hands. Due to the complication, you can easily take this watch with you when out in nature or when doing sports, since you get the ultimate precision when opting for this duograph (or double chronograph).

Also, the sophisticated style of the watch means it can be worn every day or on special occasions, and will always stand out. This model is powered by a hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Caliber B15, based on the Caliber B03, and it’s also water-resistant up to 100 metres.

This Breitling Premier B15 Duograph 42 watch can be found at Banks Lyon for £7,700 or from £115.50 per month at 0% finance.

Breitling Premier B15 Duograph 42 – Black and 18K Red Gold

The 18K red gold variation comes with a black dial, an elegant style that will never go out of fashion. The model also has a rattrapante function, just like the previous iteration, and a mechanical hand-wound Breitling Caliber B15 movement.

A great dress watch that doubles as a sports companion as well, since the duograph will ensure the ultimate precision.

The case size is 42mm, so perfectly comfortable on the wrist – and looks amazing with any outfit or any other accessories you choose to wear.

You can buy this Breitling Premier B15 Duograph for £15,900 or from £238.50 per month at 0% finance.

The Datora

Breitling Premier B25 Datora 42 – Brown and Stainless Steel

This watch is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B25, which you can see through the transparent caseback, and is water-resistant up to 100 metres.

Just like the other models, this watch is also protected with sapphire crystal, which prevents scratches and helps with the longevity of the piece.

Buy this Breitling Premier B25 Datora 42 watch for £9,250 or from £138.75 per month at 0% finance.

Breitling Premier B25 Datora 42 – Silver and 18K Red Gold

This variation has a silver dial and 18K red gold 42mm case, offering unmatched elegance and style. The highly visible and complex functions, like the moon-phase display, further add to the accuracy of the watch, which will never let you down.

The case also houses the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B25 and, just like the other Datora piece, you have a transparent caseback and water-resistance of up to 100 metres. As mentioned, the sapphire crystal contributes to the durability of the watch, so you can take it virtually anywhere with you, be it the skies or land.
