There is a distinctive vintage-aircraft influence to this green-dial Breitling Avenger Automatic 42 Wings Capsule. Its graduated lacquer finish moves from rich green at the centre to deeper tones at the outer edge, lending depth to an otherwise purposeful pilot's display. Breitling's winged Wings-and-Anchor logo sits proudly on the dial, complemented by polished rider tabs that catch the light against the satinised 42 mm stainless-steel case. On this version, polished centre links bring that same appealing contrast to the steel bracelet.
The design may feel more refined, but its capabilities remain firmly rooted in the Avenger's instrument-watch heritage. A COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 17 automatic movement drives the watch, with 300-metre water resistance and Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indexes adding reassurance in demanding conditions. The crown and bezel feature a grip pattern for confident handling. Finished with a stainless-steel folding clasp offering push-pin micro-adjustment, the bracelet is both practical and comfortable. It is a beautifully balanced interpretation of the Wings Capsule, equally suited to a cockpit or a busy day on the ground.
