The Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 brings one of Breitling’s most celebrated aviation instruments into sharp contemporary focus. Developed for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association in 1952, the original Navitimer combined a chronograph with a circular slide rule, creating an instrument that could measure elapsed time and assist with flight calculations. This 41 mm edition takes its cues from the 1960s Navitimer Mk 5 reference 806, combining an evocative dial with the craftsmanship of a modern manufacture chronograph. Its lacquered black dial is offset by three white subdials and a bright white slide-rule scale. White luminous accents lend definition, while the golden Twin Jet emblem at twelve o’clock marks the return of a civilian Navitimer signature introduced in 1965. It is a compelling link to the era of Jim Clark and Graham Hill, who carried the watch’s utility from the cockpit to the racetrack. The hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09 can be admired through the open caseback. A seven-row stainless-steel bracelet with folding clasp gives this version an assured, cohesive metallic finish.
