The Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 pairs one of watchmaking’s most recognisable dials with an elegant seven-row steel bracelet. Originally developed in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Navitimer transformed a wristwatch into a practical navigation companion through its rotating circular slide rule and chronograph. Here, Breitling revisits the modern-retro proportions and character of the 1960s Navitimer Mk 5 reference 806, bringing the heritage design into its core collection. A lacquered blue dial establishes a beautiful contrast with the white chronograph subdials and the white slide-rule scale that frames them. White luminous accents add clarity, while a golden Twin Jet logo sits prominently at twelve o’clock. First used on civilian Navitimers in 1965, the emblem evokes an era when pilots and racing drivers, including Jim Clark and Graham Hill, made the watch their own. The 41 mm stainless-steel case houses the hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, on view through an open caseback. Finished on a seven-row stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp, this is a thoughtful meeting of technical heritage, precise detail and everyday sophistication.
