Omega Constellation watches are the flagship model of the brand, with a rich history and a reputation for high accuracy. The original models of the timepiece featured an easy to read case with attractive minimalist markers, and the modern versions also incorporate these classic features. Omega Constellation watches have been produced since 1952, and the model has retained its classic style and character, hearkening back to a golden age.
The date on many of the models, such as the Omega Constellation 09 Quartz, is still located at the 3 o’clock marker, just as in the originals. This is not to say that there have been no updates to the model, as is evident on the Omega Constellation Double Eagle Chronograph. This model features the date on the 6 o’clock marker as well as three sub-dials, and it has distinct appeal as a luxurious sport watch.
Included in the range of Omega Constellation watches are the Omega Constellation ’95 Gents’ Chronometer, the Omega Double Eagle Co-Axial Chronograph ‘World Cup’, and the aforementioned Omega Constellation 09 Quartz.
Banks Lyon Jewellers are pleased to be authorised stockists of Omega Constellation watches, ensuring that you have a 100% guarantee of authenticity when you purchase from us, and we also offer you the opportunity to spread your payments out over 6 to 36 months by buying on 0% finance.

Found in many of the collection’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements, such as the Master Chronometer and the Globemaster, the use of silicone supports the watch’s precision and reliability. Silicon is naturally anti-magnetic, lightweight, and highly resistant to wear, meaning it delivers exceptional performance over time compared to traditional metal springs used in older watch models.
The use of a silicon balance spring significantly improves the Constellation’s resistance to shocks and external magnetic fields, ensuring the movement remains stable even in demanding environments and always provides consistent timekeeping, reducing the need for frequent servicing. Magnetic interference from electronic devices (to varying degrees) is everywhere, and the silicon balance spring is essential to help the Constellation maintain superior accuracy, making it the perfect choice for those who expect their watch to keep up with their fast-paced, modern lifestyle.
OMEGA is committed to ethically sourcing the diamonds used in the Constellation collection. The diamonds are sourced from reputable suppliers who follow the internationally recognised Kimberley Process (KP). Established in 2003 and agreed on by 85 countries, this requirement monitors the diamonds being sourced and sold to manufacturers. This certification scheme prevents conflict diamonds from being sold, and you w will not find one in any of these timepieces.
These watches include the OMEGA Constellation Manhattan and Co-Axial Master Chronometer Small Seconds. These models boast diamond-set bezels, hour markers, or even fully paved dials covered in these miniature gems, adding a luxurious sparkle to the classic Constellation design. These diamonds elevate their designs into true luxury pieces, and by choosing one of the watches in this collection, you are guaranteed to appreciate their elegance with your conscience intact.
The OMEGA Constellation is instantly recognisable thanks to its signature “claws” (otherwise known as a “griffe” design in French). They were designed by Carol Didisheim in 1985 and have been a defining feature of these pieces since the creation of the collection in the 1980s. This has also helped their style stand the test of time.
Uniformally positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock, these polished claws serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose. Originally, they were designed to secure the sapphire crystal and the bezel to the case, adding extra durability. Over time, this unique design became synonymous with the Constellation’s style and has been made standard.
The OMEGA Constellation collection is equipped with the brand’s renowned Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement. This movement undergoes METAS certification before sale, meaning it has been tested under real-world conditions for accuracy, temperature fluctuation, and magnetic resistance. Magnetic resistances are important in elite watches like these as electrical fields from everyday electronic devices surround us, and these will impact the accuracy of most watches over time.
What sets this movement apart is its incredible magnetic resistance—up to 15,000 gauss, far above the average of 4,800 for normal watches. The co-axial escapement also reduces friction within the movement, meaning the watch not only keeps better time but also requires less maintenance over its lifetime. However, OMEGA recommends that you have a complete service every 5-8 years to make sure you always get the most from your watch and extend its life; fortunately, we provide watch servicing and repair of all this brand and others.
