The Raymond Weil Nabucco collection

Raymond Weil is one of only a handful of truly independent luxury watch makers that are left in the world, the brand has retained many of their original values and design ideals, but has brought its image into the 21st century with it’s recent offerings.

The Nabucco is Leading the Way for Raymond Weil

One of these collections is the Nabbuco Chronograph collection. The standard within the collection is a mechanical movement, with an automatic winding motion. In keeping with the idea of Raymond Weil using the Nabucco to cater specifically to modern tastes, the collection has watches with large cases, up to 46mm in diameter, appealing to many modern watch enthusiasts. The larger case is not simply for aesthetics; however, the increase in size from other models has allowed the Raymond Weil Nabucco to have an increased water resistance rating, which is now 200 meters.

The bracelet of the watch is made from a combination of titanium and stainless steel, in order to keep the watch feeling light on the wrist despite the large case size. On certain models, the case and bracelet also use carbon fibre; this is again done to keep the watch feeling light on the wrist.

The face of the watch is typical of many modern chronographs, with a 30 minute dial at 3 o’clock, an hour counter at 6 o’clock and a 60 second dial at 9 o’clock, which shows the continuous passing for seconds. The main second hand of the watch is used in conjunction with the chronograph function of the watch. As expected, there is a date display at 4 o’clock.
