Based in Birmingham’s famous jewellery quarter, Charles Green are a British jewellery manufacturer with over 180 years experience. Combining traditional methods with modern technology, Charles Green constantly add to their range of pieces with new designs, as well as maintaining the classic designs that their reputation is built on.
The company was founded in 1824 as a manufacturer of signet rings. Throughout the years the business has passed from generation to generation, always in the hands of the family, and today the chairman is Tom Green, head of the sixth generation of Greens.
Charles Green rings are emblematic of traditional, high-quality British craftsmanship, and only use the very finest in materials. All of their diamonds are conflict free, and of SI1 clarity and H colour for a superior piece.
At Banks Lyon we are authorised stockists and sellers of Charles Green jewellery, and so you can be certain that every piece of jewellery we sell is absolutely genuine. The profile describes the shape of the ring’s cross-section. Court profile bands are rounded on both the inside and outside, D-shape rings have a rounded exterior with a flat inner surface, whereas flat profile bands feature defined edges with flat surfaces on all sides. People often choose their wedding ring’s profile based on what sits well next to their engagement ring.
The best metal depends on your own personal style, any existing jewellery you’re wearing, and how durable you need your wedding ring to be due to lifestyle. We would always recommend that you match the hardness of your plain wedding ring to your engagement ring so that they don’t damage each other when sitting next to one another on your finger. Platinum is naturally durable, as are higher carats of yellow, white and rose gold.Â
Narrow rings often suit smaller hands or pair well with engagement rings, whereas wider bands create a more substantial look. Trying on different widths at our Lancaster show room is the best way to find the right balance of comfort, proportion and style.Â
Many plain wedding bands can be resized but it depends on the ring’s size and metal. Gold wedding rings are generally easier to resize than some alternative metals, especially if there’s a significant size adjustment needed. You can contact our jewellery specialists for personalised advice.Â
Yes, we offer flexible finance options, including 0% interest finance on eligible purchases to help you spread the cost of your wedding band into manageable monthly payments.
