TAG Heuer Monaco Twenty Four Watch

Ever since Steve McQueen adorned a Monaco on his wrist in the 1970 film classic, Le Mans, TAG Heuer has been associated with this historic race. This series of automatic chronograph watches were introduced in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix, the world’s oldest sports car race in endurance racing. Lasting 24 hours, it tests motorists’ ability to balance speed and stamina successfully, and is informally known as the “Triple Crown of Endurance Racing”; an event of the highest calibre.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Twenty Four Watch

Much like the cars themselves, the TAG Heuer Monaco Twenty Four watch is focused around the ability to combine reliability and resilience, with a sleek sporty appearance. The leading edge engineering involved in producing TAG Heuer watches delivers a performance which is second to none. Featuring the iconic square case which TAG Heuer is renowned for, the elegantly polished steel case protects the delicate internal workings; unmistakably parallel to a race car driver’s protective cockpit cage. The “24” not only represents the length of the race it is so strongly coupled with, but the fact that the watch can with stand an impact of 24,000G, the equivalent of a 20 metre fall.

The black alligator strap is sleek and stylish, adding a luxurious feel to this classically designed time piece. This perfect blend of elegance and sport is seen throughout the collection, and with a water resistance of up to 50 metres, it is sure to fit in with your active lifestyle. The Monaco 24 also features a powerful calibre 36 movement which “floats” inside the steel tube housing, and a sapphire crystal case back.
