Banks Lyon Reaches Final for Independent Retailer of the Year Award 2014

Here at Banks Lyon Jewellers, the history of our store stretches proudly all the way back to 1876, and we’ve always been very careful to uphold the very finest traditions of expertise, experience and unrivalled customer service within all of our dealings ever since our inception. In the years since our store opened, my own family has gradually developed the business into the entity that it is today, and in contrast to many competitors I continue to take a strong interest in the day-to-day operations of the store. Now, I’m delighted to say that the efforts of everyone over the years have been recognised by none other than the Retail Jeweller UK Watch and Jewellery Awards 2014.

The UK Watch and Jewellery Awards are the standard that all such establishments seek to aspire to, and this year we decided to display the confidence that we all have in the Banks Lyon name by entering this prestigious competition. As we had already been ranked within the top 50 results in previous years by the Retail Jeweller Magazine, we were privileged to receive an invite into this year’s awards, and despite never having entered before we all felt very optimistic about our prospects. It’s always good to learn that confidence has not been misplaced, and I’m now hugely pleased to announce that we have reached the final six nominees, and are potentially on the cusp of being named ‘Independent Retailer of the Year 2014’.

All of this is only positive for our business name, and it is extremely heartening to see my team recognised for all of the effort that they have expended to make us into one of the top jewellers in the whole North West. To be recognised in this premium fashion by our trade is a great honour of the highest order, and personally I strongly believe that our unprecedentedly dedicated communication ethics with our clientele have formed the cornerstone of this nomination. We always take great pains to be very proactive with customers using social media, online and in-store interactions, and I am confident that these practises give us an edge that few other jewellers could boast.

When this is combined with our extensive portfolio of brands from across the worlds of jewellery and horology, I believe our nomination carries real weight with it. Of course, we are by no means the only nominees for the 2014 award, and it’s fair to say that we face sterling competition from the likes of Francis Wain Jewellers, Nicholas Wylde, Ring Jewellers, Tustains and Winsor Bishop. Regardless of the outcome though, we are already elated as a team to have been included within the top 6 nominees, and it is fair to say that the tension over the next month is only going to get more heightened before the winner is eventually unveiled.

Such an opportunity as this is a real reward for many years of labouring to reach the summit of our profession, and it also gives us a fantastic platform to build upon in the future as well. We are already acknowledged as one of the leading suppliers of Omega watches, Cartier watches, Breitling watches, TAG Heuer watches and similar watch brands in the UK, in addition to having proved ourselves in the field of luxury jewellery time and time again, and I sincerely hope that the increased national acclaim generated by this nomination will allow us to refine our services even further. Whilst we wait for the final decision though, please feel free to contact me and my professional team by calling 01524 38 48 58 or emailing us at [email protected] if you have any sort of enquiry.
