As the ticking of the clock draws us closer to Watches and Wonders 2024, the excitement and anticipation in the watch community are evident. At Banks Lyon, we are at the heart of this excitement and eagerly looking forward to this prestigious event set against the stunning backdrop of Geneva’s landscape.

We are proud to be official stockists of some of the most famous watch brands in the world, and we believe that Watches and Wonders is an event that truly showcases the best of the best. So, here, we will take you on a journey through the significance of Watches and Wonders in the watchmaking world, highlight the brands that we proudly represent, and share our predictions on what to expect from them during the event.

What Is Watches and Wonders?

Watches and Wonders is an annual event, typically held in mid-April, that immerses attendees in world-class watchmaking, turning Geneva into the international hub of watchmaking for a week. This event is open to the public for three days, offering an exclusive experience showcasing the great creativity of the biggest watch brands in the world. You will find all the best names, ranging from the most iconic to the most covert, unveiling their season’s highlights. Visitors have the option to engage in guided tours, explore new spaces and new brands, interact with experts, and experience “The LAB,” a space focused on the future of watchmaking.

Since its launch, it has been an unmissable event for those in the industry, but it was only last year that it was opened to the public. Now, Watches and Wonders expects to gather crowds of both industry experts and timepiece enthusiasts alike.

Which Brands Will Attend Watches and Wonders 2024?

In 2024, Watches and Wonders Geneva will once again bring together a collection of the most prestigious names in the horological universe. This event is set to host an impressive roster of 54 exhibitors, each brand excellent and unique in its own right. Attendees should eagerly anticipate new offerings, from the revered and timeless designs of Rolex to the cutting-edge innovation of TAG Heuer and the impressive precision of Omega; the event offers a vivid range of the industry’s best. It is an exceptional opportunity to witness first-hand the unveiling of the latest masterpieces that define luxury, precision, and fine design in the world of timekeeping.

Our Predictions for Watches and Wonders 2024

As mentioned, we are proud official stockists of a number of the brands showcasing their creations this year. So, with that in mind, who better to predict what these watch giants will present in Geneva this April?

OMEGA

In the lead-up to the Olympic Games, OMEGA has already built excitement with the release of a unique white and gold Seamaster 300, as pictured below. So, given OMEGA’s historical role as the official timekeeper of the Olympics for Watches and Wonders 2024, it’s possible they will unveil a special edition watch in honour of the event. This design could incorporate Olympic elements or colour schemes, serving as both a remarkable piece of luxury watchmaking and a memento of the athletic grandeur of the Games.

TAG Heuer

At Watches and Wonders 2024, we predict TAG Heuer will continue its lineage of innovation; given their history of pioneering in the luxury smartwatch sector, a new generation of TAG Heuer Connected could be unveiled. Additionally, the brand has recently invested more time into sustainable design, so there is a high chance there will be an emphasis on sustainable materials, reflecting the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly luxury.

Hublot

We expect Hublot could surprise attendees at Watches and Wonders 2024 with a fusion of cutting-edge technology and striking aesthetics. Predictions point to the possibility of new material innovations, blending high-tech alloys with luxury design. This is because Hublot’s commitment to the “Art of Fusion” philosophy suggests a showstopping piece that encapsulates both watch heritage and modern craftsmanship. Nothing is confirmed, but if one of the brand’s 2023 releases, the Hublot Big Bang Unico King Gold Rainbow 44mm Watch, is anything to go by, we imagine it will be impressive.

Bremont

It’s possible that Bremont may introduce a new line of high-performance chronometers that reflect its commitment to aviation and military-inspired watch designs. Considering its heritage, Bremont will more than likely continue with its partnership with iconic aviation brands, presenting timepieces enriched with historical significance. Speciality materials, like Bremont’s proprietary Trip-Tick case design and hardened steel construction, are expected to feature in these anticipated releases, further demonstrating the brand’s commitment to durability and precision.

IWC

IWC is predicted to unveil a refreshed Aquatimer collection, focusing on this line as part of its yearly tradition of highlighting a single collection. Expectations lean towards advanced materials for better durability and water resistance, catering to deep-sea explorers and luxury enthusiasts alike. New designs will likely nod to IWC’s maritime legacy, seamlessly blending tradition with the latest horological technology, making the Aquatimer more appealing than ever.
