Saturday the 6th of June was a very special occasion for all of us here at Banks Lyon. For the eighth year running, we proudly sponsored the Banks Lyon Abbeystead Shoot, a clay pigeon shoot which is held in order to raise money for charity for the Army Benevolent Fund.
The prestigious event was organised by Samuelson Wylie Associates, who was delighted to have partnered with luxury car manufacturer, Bentley, in addition to Banks Lyon and other sponsors.
Last year’s clay pigeon shooting event was a phenomenal success, which raised £35,000 for the charity. This year, however, we achieved so much more than that. 250 guests at Abbeystead generously raised more than £50,000 for The Soldier’s Charity, with an auction that included white gold jewellery, pink spinel and an elegant diamond pendant donated by the team at Banks Lyon.
Thankfully the weather was on our side, which helped make such a beautiful day even more special. With such a resounding success at this year’s event, we’re already hugely excited for what 2016’s Abbeystead Clay Pigeon Shoot will hold.
