Chopard unveils the new Superfast Automatic, Superfast Chrono and Superfast Power Control timepieces

Chopard are pleased to launch the new Superfast Automatic, Superfast Chrono, and Superfast Power Control timepieces.

“Unfailing passion and enduring emotion combine to create watches of distinction, much like the sports cars they honour.”

As we all know Chopard has been a loyal partner of legendary classic car races, including the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and the Mille Miglia for many years now. The original cars featured in these iconic races, such as Bugatti, Aston Martin and Ferrari, have evolved into powerful and contemporary sports cars for a new age and so to compliment this Chopard are ever evolving their designs and creating new and exciting racing timepieces.

“The Superfast Automatic, Superfast Chrono and Superfast Power Control pieces bring the world of precision watch making to the thrill–seeking sports car drivers who are not afraid of power.”

In the last couple of years Chopard has excelled itself by producing some really exciting timepieces in a bid to define their brand as one of the most prestigious watch brands in the world. As part of a large group they have the freedom to experiment and develop timepieces with no target market in mind – in a bid to ‘shock’ and ‘surprise’ their budding followers.

Known primarily for women’s watches – and in particular the Happy Sport watches with their floating diamonds, Chopard has recently been concentrating their efforts into Gents watches and have developed some stunning pieces including the classic and refined L.U.C range with the first in-house movements.

The Superfast Automatic, Chrono and Power Control pieces have their own distinctive and bold characters. Just as the most famous racing teams throughout history must find a driver whose ambition, talent and determination matches that if its cars, these three new pieces become truly remarkable on the wrist of those owners who in life live with equal ambition and drive.

Remarkably elegant these watches are presented in beautiful 18ct Rose Gold cases that house the chronometer rated movements – boasting a 60 hour power reserve. Two of the three watches are 45mm wide and the other is 42mm, but in-keeping with the existing collection they still have the bulging screw bays and the engraved vertical trench detailing. The crown and pushers are coated with a vulcanized rubber and the crown also features a little steering wheel. They also feature a sapphire crystal case back that acts as a viewing window for the beautiful movement inside.

For those who prefer the look of the Superfast Automatic then the luxurious 18ct gold finish, chronometer certified movement and 60 hour power reserve is sure to entice.

The Superfast Power Control model differs from the latter by adding a date window at three o’clock and a power reserve indicator in a sector-type display at 9 o’clock.

Finally, the Superfast Chrono model will be equipped with an equally powerful 45mm diameter case, a tachometric scale engraved on the bezel, and a chronograph with sweep second hand, minute counter at 3 o’clock and an hour counter at 9 o’clock.

Though the movements in these watches may not have any revolutionary features, they are made by Chopard. This is a major step forward for the Swiss brand as they can now claim to have an in-house movement in one of their mainstream offerings.

Sure to be admired and appreciated by Chopard, and fast car, lovers alike these new releases will no doubt be well received.
