Just under a month ago TAG Heuer had some very exciting news for fans of popular Avengers star Chris Hemsworth, as he stepped up as the new international brand ambassador. For his first turn behind the camera he was paired up with the exciting TAG Heuer Carrera – Calibre Heuer 01, a popular model which is pictured below and currently retails from Banks Lyon at £4,000, or on a 0% finance plan at just £88.89 per month.
So what makes Chris Hemsworth such a great choice for the brand, standing alongside other huge name actors and actresses including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Uma Thurman? Well, TAG claim that ‘his international profile, professionalism and authenticity make Chris the perfect embodiment of the motto “Don’t Crack Under Pressure”’ – and are also very pleased to be able to welcome an Australian to their ranks since they have traditionally had a strong presence there.
For Chris’s part, he refers to his love for the TAG brand, stating that the TAG Heuer Carrera and Monaco models are his watches of choice when he’s taking a break from acting and wants to head out into the surf. He has also been building a relationship with the brand for a couple of years now, since starring in Rush – a formula 1 film which the legendary watch brand was partnered with. This real connection with the brand ensures that Hemsworth’s involvement in their latest campaign feels authentic and believable.
The Carrera – Calibre Heuer 01 watch itself is a real beauty, as its title – named in honour of the TAG founder himself, Edouard Heuer – suggests. At the back the design has been opened up to allow for a tantalising look at the chronograph within, with pops of red and yellow colouring highlighting key features and ensuring that it is a feast for the eyes.
Meanwhile, the watch’s dial offers a very intricate design with more red detailing, while a practical and sporty rubber strap finishes the piece off in style… and with TAG stating that ‘the Carrera Heuer 01 symbolises the continuity in investment and creativity’, it certainly seems to match up well with the new face of their brand.
