Flagship store adds to the prestige of a classic timepiece

Breitling have opened a flagship store in New York this year, with a high-profile launch party attended by celebrities, pilots and athletes. The launch of a store in New York – the business and fashion capital of the US – cements Breitling’s place in the upper echelons of timepiece hierarchy.

The launch party was attended by the Breitling ambassador John Travolta, who brings his own well-publicised passion for aviation to the brand.  Sporting celebrities included the well-known ice-hockey player Wayne Gretsky, New York Islander Mark Streit and the football celebrity Boomer Esiason.

The launch was the official opening of the 4,500 sq. ft store near New York’s famous 5th Avenue and includes artistic interpretations of the relationship between Breitling’s modern watches and its historic links to aviation.  The flagship store is on 57th Street in New York and places Breitling at the centre of an exclusive community of timepiece brands that have a flagship store in a major city.

The Breitling brand has developed into an exquisite status symbol and has evolved beyond its aviation functions; the practical tools offered by a Breitling watch are still being utilised by modern-day adventurers such as Bear Grylls and Ben Fogle and models such as the Breitling Professional are the ideal timepiece for today’s executive.

The range of Breitling models offer both practical and stylish timepieces to adventurers and executives alike; Breitling Professional models are elegant and are available as scratch-resistant, with diving-specific straps and are water-resistant to a range of depths.
