Global Growth of Pandora Records Landmark Profits

Well beloved jewellery brand Pandora has recently announced record profits across a wide variety of global territories. Pandora, originally based in Denmark, has unveiled a 35.4% rise in group revenue over the course of 2013. The company has noted an especially strong performance in Australia, yet all their target areas have achieved similarly impressive results. For instance, the European revenue increased by almost 50% in total, and Pandora has hailed their 2013 focus upon more effective sales, marketing and merchandising as an unadulterated success. Seven unique Pandora products were launched to great excitement in 2013, with especially strong themes to seasonal events frequently being utilised, and these robust sales are not the only reason for Pandora to celebrate at present.

In the UK, Pandora has now been trading for more than 5 years, and this milestone has allowed them to lay claim to a status as one of the most successful jewellery brands on British shores. 120 concept stores are now in existence throughout the UK, and 2013 saw a 33% advancement in revenue when compared to 2012. In a period of widespread commercial instability, Pandora has declared its pride in the hugely profitable nature of its recent performances, and its confidence in the British market has been undeniably demonstrated by the opening of their London flagship store at the end of 2013. This store is the largest of its kind in the world, and was installed following the brand’s pioneering fully transactional website; a development which was also fronted within the UK.

Pandora jewellery is a relatively recent addition to the world of luxury jewellery, and the acceleration of its growth has proved to be almost unprecedented. Founded in 1982 by a Copenhagen goldsmith, Pandora now deals with 10,000 retailers in approximately 70 different countries. Astonishingly, the average Pandora sales in 2011 were so rapid that one jewellery item was sold every second. It was probably Pandora charms that stimulated the company’s first genuinely global expansion in 2003, and the intrinsic themes of unforgettable life memories that this jewellery promotes, coupled with its extraordinary accessibility, have resulted in them evolving into an international giant. This escalation also shows no signs of diminishing, so it is difficult to envisage anything other than continued cause for celebration in Pandora’s future.

The Pandora president for Western Europe, Peter Anderson, has boldly declared his opinion that his brand name is now the leading UK jewellery retailer, and he is already looking forward to the forthcoming 5 year plan in the UK with considerable enthusiasm. A variety of new projects have been tantalisingly confirmed for the coming months, and at Banks Lyon we await the revelation of these new Pandora items with great interest. We’re proud to be a registered Pandora stockist, and have a huge selection of their jewellery available for sale; including special collections such as their recent Pandora for Valentine’s assemblage.
