Since its foundation in 1848 OMEGA has made significant contributions to the art of watch making. From the launch of the Speedmaster in 1957 and its subsequent voyages into space, through to OMEGA’s co-axial escapement introduced in 2007, being designed and produced in house.

Here is a brief rundown of some of the OMEGA models available at Banks Lyon now and in the future.
The OMEGA Seamaster is a mainstay in OMEGA’s men’s range, providing great quality, practicality and style. These versions of the OMEGA Seamaster feature a steel case and domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti reflective treatment on both sides as standard. The Seamaster models here also all boast a Helium escape valve at the 10 o’clock position, which releases helium out from the watch to help with decompression.
Firstly, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Watch. This elegant watch comes with a stainless steel case and bracelet, complimenting the plain black dial with date aperture at the 3 o’clock position. The bracelet version is well made and the interlocking mechanisms sit together perfectly. This watch has also received a certificate from the official body, the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute), showing that it has undergone precision tests to strict standards.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono Watch has increased water resistance compared to some models, coming in at 600m / 2000 ft, rather than the standard 300m / 1000 ft; combined with the Helium escape valve, which allows for more prolonged usage underwater or for professional use in pressure chambers. With a plain black dial and rubber strap, this watch is arguably the most practical of the watches reviewed here, whilst still having all the quality craftsmanship of OMEGA watches.
A new model from OMEGA is the Limited Edition: Omega Seamaster Bond 50 Years 41mm Watch. This commemorative edition marks 50 years of James Bond movies and is limited to 11,007 pieces. Firstly, the movement is the exclusive calibre 2507 and has a bullet decoration visible on the case back which rotates with the motion of the oscillating weight. This is just one of the extra decorations for the edition. It also features a lacquered “007†motif on the dial, red 50 marker on the bezel and a diamond at the 7H position. This limited edition watch would be a great piece for a fan of the movies and will no doubt prove to be highly collectable. It is not currently in stock at Banks Lyon, but will be available on request.
A couple of the women’s models include the OMEGA De Ville Ladymatic Watch and the OMEGA Constellation Quartz Watch, both of which also feature domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatments.
The OMEGA De Ville Ladymatic has a plain steel case and bracelet with diamonds around the face. The dial backing is white mother of pearl with diamonds for the hour markers. It also boasts a transparent case back showing the movement inside. The watch measures in at 34mm in diameter and features a date aperture at the 3 o’clock position.
The OMEGA Constellation Quartz watch is made of steel and red gold, with a contrasting blue dial, diamond hour markers and a constellation of diamonds around the dial. The bracelet appears chunkier than the previous watch, but the smaller dial diameter makes for a thinner watch the De Ville model. This quartz precision model has a rhodium plated finish and a power reserve of 32 months.
