The Raymond Weil collection has been around for 37 years now. That is correct, not 137 years, simply 37. Now some people may lay some credence in the idea of the longevity of the company defining quality and status, and it would certainly be true to a degree; but there is much to be said about this relatively young brand and what they are creating.
The man, Raymond Weil, now Honorary President and Chairman of the family run company built the business in the 70’s during a period of crisis for the watching making trade, and impressive achievement indeed. The business has continued to grow since, with connections to names such as Grey Goose and The Brit Awards. Recently, music artist Labyrinth auctioned his Limited Edition Raymond Weil Brit Award watch to charity, and Raymond Weil held the after-party for Emeli Sande’s sell-out tour.
Now, let us look at the quality of this relatively new Swiss watch brand by paying some attention to their Parsifal watch.
The Parsifal is a striking watch, with the grandeur of excellence. Crafted from highly polished stainless steel, with 18ct pink gold around the bezel, the pushers and crown, and applied as roman numerals and hands on the dial. Engraved on the black dial beneath the pink gold “XIIâ€, in a clean white typeface is the company logo “Raymond Weil, Geneve†(the picture demonstrates this much better). Three chronograph dials sit elegantly at the 
III, VI and IX hour positions, with the pink gold detailing surrounding the circumference of each. Possibly the greatest feat Raymond Weil have achieved is to marry these different elements into a clean, delicate and detailed face that does not look cluttered or busy.
Fitted with an integrated alligator skin strap, hand stitched, with a stainless steel deployment clasp. This horological beauty is a fantastic example of the brand and their devotion to high quality, luxurious watches that resonates a refined elegancy seen less and less in this day and age.
