Special Timepieces Commemorate Raymond Weil Association With Classic BRIT Awards

Luxury horological brand Raymond Weil has recently celebrated its third year serving as the Official Watch & Timing Partner to the Classic BRIT Awards by creating twin limited edition watches. These timepieces, part of the brand’s flagship collection of Raymond Weil Maestro watches, were proudly presented to a range of performers, presenters and guests who attended the highly anticipated event. The recipients included Sir Michael Caine, Jodie Whittaker, Selina Scott, Aled Jones and Hans Zimmer; who was personally honoured with the awards for Composer of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to Music in association with Raymond Weil.

The Classic BRIT Awards has been in existence for 14 years, and have faithfully supported all forms of classical music since their inception in 2000. The limited edition timepieces released by Raymond Weil in conjunction with the 2013 event are a truly magnanimous gesture, honouring the years of history that this influential ceremony has built up. The gent’s wristwatch is a Maestro 7737-STC-00659; a stunning piece of craftsmanship that boasts a 41.5 mm stainless steel case and a silver dial with complementary azure hands and black indexes. Secured with an elegant black calf leather strap and powered by a 46 hour power reserve automatic chronograph movement, this is a classic creation that fully upholds Raymond Weil’s own historic traditions.

For the ladies who were present at the Classic BRIT Awards, a Maestro 2637-SLS-0965 was procured. This smaller 30mm stainless steel wristwatch is augmented by a gorgeous mother of pearl dial that is so often used on ladies’ timepieces. This dial is decorated with intertwined diamonds and silvered Roman numerals to mark the time and, like its gent’s counterpart, the watch comes on a sophisticated leather strap. The automatic movement and balance wheel are clearly visible through an aperture situated at 12 o’clock, and both these unique Maestro watches were resplendently formed with sapphire crystal exhibition case backs engraved with the Classic BRIT Awards logo.

Raymond Weil has always striven to extract the very best from their historic watchmaking aptitude, and their luxury timepieces are aimed at any horological connoisseur who genuinely appreciates the value of a timepiece with matchless design. Master watchmakers have been refining their creations for centuries, and the Maestro collection from Raymond Weil has proven the brand’s indebtedness to its own roots. Maestro watches all possess subtly honed details that allow the reinvention of classic Raymond Weil designs, whilst also undeniably flaunting the same chic aesthetic that has become synonymous with Swiss luxury timepieces. Merging elegance, refinement and authentic watchmaking expertise into a single form, the Maestro was clearly the definitive manner in which to pay tribute to the Classic BRIT Awards.

Here at Banks Lyon, our Raymond Weil watches form an integral part of our extensive stock of Swiss luxury wristwatches. Effortlessly spanning the chasm between the contemporary world and venerated tradition, their brand has coherently worked to enhance the performance of their watches to ever more impressive levels. It is this amalgamation of precision engineering and pioneering visual designs that has cemented Raymond Weil’s position in the pantheon of watchmaking greats, and at Banks Lyon we wish their efforts every success in the future, and always await their latest inventions with enthusiasm.
