The New Omega Seamaster 300m Chronometer Collection

Omega’s rich heritage dates back to 1848 when Louis Brandt founded the watchmaker in La Chaux-de-Fonds under the name La Generale Watch Co. In 1903, the company became Louis Brandt et Frère – Omega Watch & Co., and, in 1982, the name was finally changed to Omega SA. Currently, the Swiss luxury brand is part of the Swatch Group and is renowned around the world for its beautifully designed and precise timepieces.

The company has been the official timekeeper for many important events and organisations, including the Olympic Games since 1932; Omega also created the first watch that was taken to the moon in 1969. Famous wearers of the brand include Buzz Aldrin, Elvis Presley, Prince William and John F Kennedy. Such prestige is embodied in every piece Omega design and manufacture, including the stunningly sophisticated Omega Seamaster Diver 300m collection and the new chronometer addition.

Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Chronograph Collection

Last year, Omega updated the Seamaster Diver 300m line; this year, they’re following it up with a Chronograph collection. The new Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph models come in 44mm-wide cases in a variety of materials and colours, allowing you to choose from black ceramic, stainless steel and 18K SednaTM gold, or blue ceramic, stainless steel and 18K yellow gold. These watches come with only two chronograph sub-dials, which represents a more streamlined version of the original models.

The Chronograph collection is contemporary, sophisticated and innovative – using only the highest quality materials and technologies, Omega has created a superb watch for diving enthusiasts. Designed to keep exact track of time, the models in the range include central hour-minute and chronograph seconds hands, a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder, a small seconds subdial and a date window at 6 o’clock.

The chronographs have stainless steel and 18K gold cases, as well as ceramic pushers that flawlessly match the colour of the bezel and dial. The dials also feature the stunning laser-engraved wave pattern that characterises the Seamaster line, and the hands and indexes are filled with Super-LumiNova for visibility. The watches in the collection are powered by the impressive Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 or Calibre 9901, which you can glimpse through the sapphire-crystal on the wave-patterned caseback.

Fully embracing the ocean heritage, the new Omega chronograph range also represents the brand’s values of pioneering innovation, cutting-edge technology and sophisticated design perfectly.

Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 44mm

A unique model in the collection, the 44mm Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph is made from 18K SednaTM gold and displays a beautiful laser-ablated black ceramic bezel ring with a polished diving scale; the distinctive golden-ringed subdials add a subtle touch of elegance that won’t go unnoticed. This eye-catching design is truly one-of-a-kind, standing out from the crowd no matter where you are and overflowing with character.

Both the chronograph pushers and the dial are made from polished black ceramic, a gorgeous material that allows for the other elements of the watch, such as the date window at 6 o’clock, to pop out even more. The white Super-LumiNova hands ensure the timepiece can be used even at great depths which, combined with its water resistance of up to 300 metres, make this a superb watch for professional divers.

This SednaTM gold edition is also driven by a powerful and highly precise engine, the Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 9901. The movement can be seen through the domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal caseback with anti-reflective treatment, adding another dimension to an already fantastic watch.

The features included in this watch further showcases why Omega is a titan in the horology world, creating watches that are technologically advanced, beautifully designed and incredibly functional. The anti-magnetic properties of the model make sure that the movement remains unaffected even when exposed to strong magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.

The helium escape valve allows helium to escape the watch when worn in pressure chambers, meaning the timepiece will continue to deliver high precision and performance no matter the conditions. The self-locking screw-in crown makes sure that divers don’t accidentally miscalculate their dive time, and so does the unidirectional rotating bezel, which doesn’t allow the bezel to be rotated in the wrong direction and makes it easy to measure elapsed time.

This performance-driven chronograph also comes with a rubber strap for comfort and style.

Beautiful, innovative and precise, the watches in the new Chronograph collection are perfect for both professional divers and watch enthusiasts – as well as those seeking a timepiece rich in heritage and which offers both functionality and elegance.

Whilst these timepieces are not available online just yet, you can get in touch with our team, who will be more than happy to give you a call once this stunning timepiece is available in store or advice about any of the fantastic models available in the OMEGA Seamaster collection.
