Breitling advocate Herbert Nitsch aims for another World Record

Breitling advocate Herbert Nitsch has announced he is intending to beat his own free-diving record by diving to over 300m with one breath.

Breitling Flying FishThe free-diver is an elite, self-taught sportsman and a qualified airline pilot – combined interests that have earned him the nickname ‘Flying Fish’. In 2007 he dived to 214m with no breathing apparatus and has achieved world records in diving and swimming feats during 2009 and 2010. This year Herbert is working towards diving to the notorious ‘1000ft’ mark – 305m.

Herbert Nitsch has become a strong working partner of Breitling and the Special Series of the Chronomat 01 44mm – the Breitling Flying Fish – has been named in his honour. The watch is water-resistant to 500m and is described as a watch that can match Herbert’s sporting accomplishments.

The Breitling Flying Fish is part of the Chronomat 44mm range, designed as a performance watch.  In addition to looking elegant and professional, it has 47 jewels, is self-winding and has a power reserve of 70 hours.  It is available in 18K rose or white gold and has anti-glare glass and a clear display for use under water.
