Bremont Unveil Kingsman Watches

It seems like a very long time ago that we last spoke about the forthcoming collaboration between Bremont and the blockbuster film Kingsman: The Secret Service, and in actual fact it has been a good few months, but now we’re in a position to look at the timepieces that hadn’t been unveiled last time. It’s been a long wait, and it’s fair to say that the aforementioned association with Bremont ALT1 watches doesn’t quite do the finished products justice; they’ve been well worth anticipating.

As of this January, we’re now able to confirm that the Kingsman watches family will consist of three distinct timepieces, and all of them will be apparent throughout the course of the movie itself. Although the film is still a few weeks away from being released, numerous images of the cast are in circulation on the internet, and many famous actors like Colin Firth and Samuel L. Jackson can be seen wearing the new Bremont chronometers. Rather fittingly, Nick English, the co-founder of Bremont, is also making a cameo appearance in Kingsman, and he’ll doubtless enjoy the opportunity to display his workmanship on the big screen. But what about details of the watches themselves?

As mentioned, there are three models of Kingsman watch. The first is a rose-gold chronograph World Timer that will be modelled by the Kingsman agents. The second is a stainless steel variant that can be seen around the wrist of ‘Merlin’, the character who is responsible for the training of the Kingsman spies (including Taron Egerton’s title character), and who is played by Mark Strong. Last, but definitely not least, are the black ‘stealth’ chronographs worn by trainee recruits on a NATO-style band. Given the current enthusiasm surrounding wristwatches with a black aesthetic, we’re sure that these latter models will be incredibly popular, even though they are technically ‘bottom’ of the Kingsman pecking order! All of the watches serve as functional ‘gadgets’ in the movie, so we’re definitely looking forward to seeing just how prolific these superb creations turn out to be.

The director of Kingsman, Matthew Vaughn, has declared his satisfaction at the work that Bremont has done with the Kingsman watches, and has also noted that they were the perfect fit for Kingsman in literally every conceivable way. Not only is the brand proudly British, but they also have strong connotations to both the military and the special forces, so if anything the watches have nothing to live up to, as they truly are in their natural environment when on screen. As you might expect, Nick English himself is delighted to have been given this opportunity too, describing it as a ‘great honour’.

A little later that was originally planned, the Kingsman watches are now set to go on sale in Bremont Boutiques and on select online services. We’ll definitely be in the queue to see the Kingsman film in cinemas when the long-awaited release date arrives, but don’t forget that if you appreciate the suave military appearance of these timepieces, then you’ll doubtless be similarly taken with many other existing Bremont watches, and you’ll find no better collection than that of Banks Lyon Jewellers. If your wrist needs a touch of sophistication this January, then contact us by calling 01524 38 48 58 or emailing [email protected]. We’ll soon locate your ideal timepiece.
