Bremont’s English Brothers Named as Ambassadors for Air Ambulance

Many notable celebrities and individuals from the world of sporting excellence serve as ambassadors for Swiss luxury brands, and a great many successful partnerships have been forged as a result of such arrangements. However, for Nick and Giles English of Bremont, the boot is now on the other foot, as the co-founders of Bremont have themselves become ambassadors for another service.

Bremont has been involved in many worthwhile enterprises during their relatively brief tenure at the summit of horology, but their support of The Children’s Air Ambulance must be one of their most commendable ventures. On the one hand, a collaboration with the Air Ambulance should almost be expected, given Bremont’s passion for the aviation industry, but this is a particularly sobering – not to mention vital – branch of the field. Each member of an air ambulance helicopter is a genuine professional in terms of flying aptitude, and also needs a level head to assess distressing situations in the analytical light of medical knowledge. Over the course of 2014, such individuals were called out 1,900 times, and their rapid arrival at the scene of an accident makes a colossal difference.

To cement the relationship, both Nick and Giles English have been installed as official ambassadors for The Children’s Air Ambulance charity, and this appointment bears an extra special significance for both of them. Both English brothers owe their lives to the Air Ambulance charity, each having experienced serious aircraft accidents in the past, and so they’re naturally delighted to be working to promote the work of The Children’s Air Ambulance. Each year, approaching 6,000 babies and children need to undergo an emergency transfer journey, and not only is the speed of such a process vital in terms of saving lives, but cutting time is also instrumental in reducing NHS expenditure.

As The Children’s Air Ambulance receives no funding from the government, they are entirely dependent on alliances like this latest scheme with Bremont, and they have said that they are ‘extremely grateful to have Bremont on board’ for ‘many fantastic adventures’. The Bremont Adventurers Club has been endeavouring to raise money for the Air Ambulance only this week, so it certainly seems as though the partnership is already bearing fruit, and we certainly wish them well.

At Banks Lyon Jewellers, we’re generally used to speaking about Bremont as a result of their superb timepieces, but it’s always a pleasure to see essential charities like The Children’s Air Ambulance being supported. We look forward to hearing more about Bremont’s activity in this area over the coming weeks, months and years, and we’ll definitely continue to bring you all of the latest introductions to their chronometer collections too. Feel free to browse through the vast array of Bremont watches we have in stock using our website, or get in touch by calling 01524 38 48 58 to find out more about any individual piece. We’ll always be happy to assist with any of your queries.
