For James Bond and watch fans alike the release of the new Skyfall film is one of the highlights of this year. With James Bond set to return for the twenty third time he will once again be sporting an Omega Planet Ocean Watch.
Daniel Craig, returning in his third Bond film, will be sporting the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M “SKYFALL†Limited Edition Watch; the seventh time an Omega watch has been worn by the British  Secret Agent.
The new Planet Ocean follows in the footsteps of its illustrious predecessors by sporting a plethora of specialist diving features – this watch really is ready for underwater adventure! Featuring a unilateral rotating diving bezel and a helium escape valve, the watch is water resistant to 60bar/600meters/2000 feet.
The watch has a 42mm brushed and polished stainless steel case and a matching patented screw-and-pin bracelet featuring a divers’ clasp engraved with “007â€. The rotating bezel is finished in a matt black ceramic with a chromium nitride diving scale.
The matt black dial bears the “007” logo at 7pm and the applied indexes and the facetted rhodium-plated hands are coated with a white Super-Liminova that emits a blue light. Interestingly the minute hand and dot on the bezel emit a green light – a feature that helps divers to keep track of their time at a glance. The dial also features a date window at 3 o’clock.
Powered by Omega’s exclusive new Co-Axial calibre 8507 movement the “Skyfall†watch is a special edition of the 42mm Planet Ocean but with features designed to attract the most ardent of James Bond and Omega fans. The watch features an open Sapphire crystal case back that reveals the rotor that is engraved in black with “Skyfall 007â€.
Thanks to the Co-Axial technology and “Si14″ Silicone balance spring this watch is deemed so stable and reliable by Omega that they have offered it with a four year guarantee.
Produced in limited numbers of only 5007 worldwide, and delivered in a presentation box, this watch really is a collector’s piece for all budding Bond watch collectors.
For those extra keen James Bond and Omega fans there is also the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Watch released earlier this year; a special edition of the Seamaster watch that is limited 11,007 in the 41mm wide case and 3,007 in the 36.25mm case size.
