The Rolex Sea Dweller DEEPSEA was developed to withstand extreme depths and its waterproof rating is an impressive 3,900 metres (12,800 feet). While the watch at first glimpse may appear to share the same case as a normal Sea-Dweller or Submariner, the DEEPSEA features a brand new case design with a unique architecture called the Ringlock System. a new case which allows the watch to resist the colossal pressure exerted by water at great depths.
The Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA features a unidirectional, rotatable bezel with a 60-minute graduated black CERACHROM disc that allows a diver to keep track of dive time. A new capsule containing luminescent material which emits a blue glow is used for the zero marker, and provides increased visibility in dark, underwater conditions. The indexes and hands on the dial are coated with this same material.
The Rolex DEEPSEA bracelet is made from solid 904L steel and can be easily adjusted to wear over a diving suit due to the new GLIDELOCK clasp and fliplock extension links.
